“Pay for Street Hail” Promotion on the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App
- This promotion is valid from 15 January 2021 to 30 April 2021 (“Promotion Period”).
- Waiver of Admin Fee (“Waiver”) for Credit/Debit Card Payments
a. During the Promotion Period, the Admin Fee shall be waived for Credit/Debit card* payments made via “Pay for Street Hail” function (“Function”) on the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App (“App”) for the metered fares of street hail trips.
*Credit/Debit Card types eligible for the Waiver include: Mastercard®, VISA, American Express, Diners, JCB. For other Credit/Debit or all other forms of cashless payments not listed, the Admin Fees may apply.
- First-time Registrants of Mastercard® in the App
a. During the Promotion Period, a S$3 promo code will be issued when a customer registers a Mastercard® under the “Manage Payment” feature on the App for the first time. This promotion is limited to the first 50,000 first-time registrants only.
b. “First-time” registrant scenarios that are not eligible for the S$3 promo code are as follows:
• Users who had previously registered a Mastercard® under the “Manage Payment” feature of the App but have since deleted the Mastercard® and re-registered the Mastercard®, are not eligible; and
• Users who had previously registered a Mastercard® under the “Manage Payment” feature of the App but had re-registered their Mastercard®, which have expired, are not eligible.
d. To enjoy the first S$3 promo code, the registrant must use the Function on the App and select the registered Mastercard® as their payment mode.
e. During the Promotion Period, a second S$3 promo code will be issued to registrants only after
• The first S$3 promo code has been used; and
• The registrant has completed a second street hail trip with payment made using the Function in the App with a registered Mastercard®.
f. To enjoy the second S$3 promo code, the registrant must use the Function on the App and select the registered Mastercard® as their payment mode.
- First-time App Download
a. During the Promotion Period, a S$5 promo code will be issued when a customer downloads and registers as a new user of the App for the first time.
b. First-time App download registrant scenarios that are not eligible for the S$5 promo code are listed below:
• Users who had previously downloaded and registered their mobile number in the App but have since deleted the App and re-installed the App and register using same mobile number, are not eligible.
c. To enjoy the S$5 promo code, the user must use an in-app cashless payment mode with the Function in the App for their metered taxi fare.
- The $3 and $5 promo codes (“Promo Code”) are applicable only for cashless payment for street hail taxi trips made using the Function in the App.
- The Promo Code is limited to ONE redemption per user and can be applied only once for each “Pay for Street Hail” transaction in the App. Both promo codes cannot be used at the same time for one single street hail trip.
- Users must enter the Promo Code accurately into the ‘Tap for Promo Code’ field when pairing the trip in the App to redeem it. The validity of each redemption will be verified upon the pairing of the trip in the App.
- The Promo Code will be deducted from the final fare upon trip completion. In instances where the final metered fare falls below the Promo Code value, no refunds of the balance will be made.
- In the event that the trip is cancelled or if the passenger fails to turn up, the user is deemed to have forfeited the Promo Code. No replacement of Promo Code will be made.
- ComfortDelGro Taxi reserves the right at its absolute discretion to terminate the promotion or vary, delete, add to any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice including without limitation the date of the promotion.
